Skype

Filed under: General - Shuai @ 8:43 pm

Yes, they’re still here! Yahoo 360 Invites

I’ve heard of Skype. So have you.

If you haven’t, it’s a Voice Over IP (VoIP) solution. VoIP is basically talking over the internet. Like over a phone.

You might have noticed the Skype Me! Logo on the side now, click it (if you have Skype) and you will “call” me.

You can also txt-chat, conference call, chatroom, call a real telephone for “Not Free but Cheap” which brings me here:
SKYPE IS FREE.

That’s the best part. Next,
IT IS VERY VERY CLEAR.
Not lots of lag.

It’s very cool. You get a contacts thing where you can dial contacts, speed dial, and more. I especially love the conference call becuase it enables me to contact all of my CloudCast studios group that have it.

The catch? Not really anthing….You just need a Microphone and Speakers, or better a Microphone/Speaker Headset for the computer.

Messenger Plus Security Alert

Filed under: General - Shuai @ 7:55 pm

DO NOT DOWNLOAD MESSENGER PLUS AT THIS MOMENT.

I have posted a message on their message boards. Message follows.

Thanks for looking at this post. Please see:
http://forums.maddoktor2.com/index.php?showtopic=505
for more details.

Messenger Plus! includes LOP.COM (Live Online Portal) that is part of C2Media. LOP.COM owns this IP and more:
66.220.17.175
“On the outside and the standard whois shows really nothing but it is the IP that gives them away. msgplus.net:66.220.17.175, This is one of the NetRanges for C2Media aka lop.com.”

Also, it installs Ad Intelligence.

I suggest that Messenger Plus takes out the spyware sponsors and puts in non-spyware sponsors. Spyware (especially lop.com) does a lot of unrecoverable damage to the computer. Uninstallation WILL NOT REVERT IT BACK.

(I’m under the name Ian Bunnell)
http://www.msghelp.net/showthread.php?tid=42558 is where I have posted the post.

If you have no idea what this is, do not download it anyhow.

Introducing the iToilet.

Filed under: General - Shuai @ 7:32 pm

iToilet Logo

iToilet? Awesome!!
http://www.electric-chicken.co.uk/

For years, Apple has proudly manufactured slow, unreliable, stupid looking computers and sold them at ridiculously high prices!
And with the recent unveiling of the new iMac, Steve Jobs
had an idea.
“I have an idea!” he said. “Since most folks seem to think our new iMac is just a really really expensive desk lamp, maybe we should start manufacturing household appliances!”

Steve then danced around a bit, before adding “Hey! Since we’re in the business of making crap, why not start with a toilet?!”

And so the iToilet was born. Apple fanatics the world over applauded the idea. Everyone else paid no attention.

Wow…this is hilarious. Read the whole thing, and also, don’t forget to check out the other 123 spoof adverts….

Using Fake Money & Stealing Girl Scout Cookies

Filed under: In the News - Shuai @ 2:44 pm

Some really weird news.
6th graders were caught trying to use fake money to buy snacks at their school.
The kids were suspended.

On Monday, a cafeteria worker at James Madison Middle School found a dollar bill that didn’t look or feel like the real thing. Seattle School District spokeswoman Patti Spencer said people in the lunch room were told to watch for more counterfeit bills.

It’s been dubbed the “Numa Numa” dance. If the video hasn’t been forwarded into your inbox, take a look.

The New Jersey 19-year-old has been flying across the web since he recorded the performance on his webcam. Gary Brolsma says he just wanted to make a silly video for his friends. “I was sitting in my room, bored, and I found a random song and I thought it would be funny to show friends.”
